It’s one of those suburbs that feels “tucked away” despite being right next to the city - full of old Queenslanders, leafy streets, and a genuine community feel. That said, the flood-prone pockets and limited local amenity are worth keeping in mind - you’ll often find yourself heading to South Bank or Woolloongabba for cafes and shops.
