The drive to the CBD takes about 20–25 minutes off-peak via the Pacific Motorway, though during peak hours it can stretch to 40–50 minutes depending on traffic. Access to the M1 is excellent, which helps offset the lack of rail connectivity.

Rochedale South feels like a “no fuss” success story. It’s practical, well-connected, and family-oriented - the kind of suburb that quietly delivers. It’s not luxury living, but it’s comfortable and reliable, with great access to schools, shopping, and transport.
The lack of a train line is the only real drawback, but the nearby busway and motorway access make commuting straightforward. Long-term, the suburb should keep benefiting from the southside infrastructure boom and growing demand for established housing.
For me, Rochedale South sits in that sweet middle ground: affordable, convenient, and steadily improving - a suburb that just works.
